Cormier: Miocic Lived The Life Of A Normal Person For Four Years, Can He Compete With Jones?

Former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier has spoken out about Stipe Miocic's return to the octagon to fight the promotion's heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Daniel Cormier
The toughest fight and the most meaningful fight in all of fighting right now is Jon Jones-Tom Aspinall. I don’t even know at this point if it should be Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, and I like Stipe. I don't know what Stipe looks like today. For four years, he's lived the life of a normal person. Can Stipe still compete at that level, is the question.

Recall, the fight Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic can take place in November at the UFC tournament in New York.

The 41-year-old Miocic last fight was held in March 2021 at UFC 260, losing to Francis Ngannou by knockout in the second round. He has 20 wins and four losses on his record.

Jones, 36, last stepped into the octagon in March 2023 at UFC 285, defeating Ciryl Gane by first-round choke. He has 27 wins and one loss on his record.
